About Short Courses
UTS:IT Short Courses is committed to continuing professional education and lifelong learning. We offer a comprehensive range of short courses in the field of Information Technology for the working professional or anyone wishing to upgrade their skills. Due to demand and the dynamic nature of IT, our range of courses is continually expanding to address current IT industry issues.
All short courses are held in UTS:IT state-of-the-art facilities with seminar rooms catering for classes of up to 40, and specialist computer laboratories for classes up to 30.
With easy access via public transport and on-campus car parking, UTS' convenient location in the heart of Sydney is ideal for our evening or weekend classes.
Increasing Demand for IT Skills
APC July 2007: The IT Job Crisis (p 14):
"It is increasingly rare to find people who have a coincidence of IT skills and competencies. We think there could be a major skills shortage in the future if we are not proactive about it" said Alan Noble, Google Australia.
