Honours Scholarships

A limited number of Faculty Honours Scholarships should be available at $3,000 for full-time Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Information Technology students in 2007.

Basic Support

Eligibilty will be determined by ranking students entering full-time study into the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Information Technology on the basis of their weighted average mark (WAM).

Successful full-time students receive the scholarship in two instalments of $1,500 - one after the HECS census date in first semester; and one after the HECS census date in the second semester. The second instalment is provisional on successful completion of all subjects in the first semester. Students must remain on normal progression.

ICAN scholarships

The ICAN research center offers scholarship at all levels. ICAN research centers on collaboration and building alliances and includes both a business component and a technology component on how technology can support collaboration. There are currently some Honors scholarships available. These are available to students in both the Faculty of IT and the Faculty of Business.

ICAN will support Honours students who advance the aims of ICAN. Interested students should look at the ICAN web site to see a description of the Institute's activities and concerns. If these activities are relevant to your interests, you should formulate an initial research proposal. The proposal may emphasise technology but should have support for ICAN business aspects as its goal.

The proposal should be discussed with Professor Igor Hawryszkiewycz in the Faculty of IT. The ICAN support is up to $5,000, in addition to the basic $3,000 available for Honours students.
