I provide professional advice to all levels of the Promina Group management regarding the appropriate protection of their information assets. I am constantly in the hot seat dealing with strategic versus tactical decisions, conflicting customer priorities, differing management styles and situations where people are out of their comfort zones (including myself).

Through studying the ITMP I have significantly improved my strategic thinking, leadership and people management skills. These skills are my daily bread and butter - anyone who works in an environment where people interact with each other cannot sustain success without them.

Initially I was sceptical and unsure about the course because I consider myself a practical person and university courses have a tendency to ramble on with theoretical frameworks which are either too exotic or complex to be of use in real life. I was proven wrong. The subjects in this course are taught by industry experts who bring a wealth of experience to the classroom, creating a unique environment where knowledge sharing and learning flows in all directions - from peer to peer, student to teacher and teacher to student.
