Abhishek Malaviya

I work for Accenture, a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company, in the technical architecture and information management domain. Working in this area provides me with the opportunity to work with clients in every industry - financial services, communications and high-tech, products, resources and government. As a global organisation, with an emphasis on delivering innovative solutions to its clients to enable them to become high-performance businesses, every project is unique and provides opportunities to work with highly skilled people from across the globe.

My Masters degree at UTS offered me the flexibility to select subjects relevant to my career development, covering the key areas of programming, enterprise integration and networking. The lecturers had industry experience to share and provided further insight into my understanding of the key concepts along with a practical perspective.

The course gave me the opportunity to work with some brilliant people from all over the world in a multi-cultural environment with staff and student communities consisting of people from many diverse cultures. My experience at UTS helped me explore the learning and teaching environment from almost every area: as a student doing my masters; as a tutor for two subjects; and as postgraduate student representative on a number of Faculty committees. In the future I would like to return to UTS and make a contribution by teaching.
